Sailing is fantastic fun. It offers a unique environment to help build long term relations with clients, raise your company profile, reward your staff or simply bring them together.

We set very high standards in sailing event management by offering a comprehensive yacht charter service aboard fast performance yachts, all of a manageable size. We run a series of exciting corporate yacht charter solutions and arrange every aspect of your event leaving you free to concentrate on your job.

Our fleet of yachts give an average of 9-12 people (per yacht) the thrill and exhilaration of ocean sailing and/or yacht racing. Safety first: Our professional hand picked skippers are all RYA qualified and will take time to train your teams whilst having the most fun with their clothes on! We are fussy too, about one of the most important aspects of the event- what to eat!!! Rest assured we will look after you during your corporate event and ensure you enjoy the most fabulous food.

COMPANY SAILING DAYS

A company corporate sailing day for your employees can really help pull a team together and it's a great day out with loads of laughter. Whether it is just a jolly for your team, a get-to-know-new-staff day, or a summer treat with a difference - taking your staff sailing can be a very rewarding day out - lots of fun, time to relax and get to know one another on a non-business footing - build relationships, find new common ground, get some exercise and fresh air!

It is not always easy to justify a budget on a team 'jolly', but sailing a 38ft racer requires team effort and it needs everyone to communicate together in a fun and relaxed environment. Our sailing staff can set some easy sailing exercises if you wish or simply get everyone involved sailing the yacht.  Our skipper will become quickly tuned to your requirements and get the crew working towards the right level of involvement on the yacht.

A day sail will normally start from Portsmouth, on the South Coast and may take you over to the Isle of Wight for lunch ashore, or you can have lunch on board under sail. Either way, we'll tailor the package to give you the most fun on the yacht that best suits your team size and objectives - with a great package for food and entertainment later, we can provide whatever size yacht that best suits your needs.  Make it different by introducing one of our motor yachts; 26 foot speedboat or 50 foot luxury cruiser with a bridge.

COMPANY RACING DAYS

There is nothing like a healthy bit of competition between teams. Our identical fleet of racing yachts, can provide exciting company corporate match racing on the Solent for small or large numbers.

Racing identical yachts against one another is the ultimate challenge for any team, as winning is down to teamwork and communication. Our company match racing days are great fun for hospitality events with a difference, or alternatively a focussed, competitive day out for existing teams looking for a dynamic team building event.

Depending on the weather we will normally run three races in a day including a stop for lunch, alternatively our most popular request, is to participate in a morning of race training, stop for lunch and run two races in the afternoon.  

SAILING REGATTAS/EVENTS

TAILOR MADE HOSPITALITY AT SPECIALIST REGATTAS

Industry Regattas are designed specifically with business benefits in mind. Sailing produces a fantastic environment for many key business functions and using Industry Regattas as a vehicle, can provide results directly measurable back into the work place.

Start putting together a challenge not only for your company, but also your competitors! Taking part can be a great way to foster networking, build personal relations, entertain clients (high acceptance rate), take opportunities for branding and media exposure AND a chance to raise money for good causes.

With our strong project management skills and expertise in the racing field, GFS EVENTS can provide a variety of high quality racing yachts as a one design fleet or with handicapped classes. We'll provide a yacht(s) and skipper(s) to help with tuition or who will just manage the yacht. Our yacht charter package is designed to ensure you have the best time with fantastic quality yachts and great hospitality -  we take the hassle out of organizing your event, leaving you free to concentrate on your job, which is hopefully to enjoy yourself! We provide pre-race training as levels of experience differ and will organise lunches, team shirts and yacht branding.

PROFESSIONAL TEAM BUILDING

A yacht has all the key ingredients of good teamwork; planning, motivation, organization, delegation, leadership and communication. Above all it's a unique learning experience where all office politics and hierarchy are forgotten. Everyone is equal as clients all learn new skills together in a fun and challenging environment.

GFS can offer your organisation various types of team building events. We can work with groups from 5 to 50 people and cover the full spectrum from informal company, to facilitated business training programmes. Our professional crews and trained facilitators provide all the tuition necessary to make the day memorable and fun. We offer everything from Company Sailing Days, Match Racing, Industry Regattas to Facilitated Business Training Courses (in conjunction with GFI Training Ltd).
