Caribbean yacht racing, Caribbean cruising, Fastnet, Cowes week and yacht racing UK

Principal and Chief Instructor Annie is an old hand at this sailing lark !  (although age is just a number you know!)

Annie started sailing well over 20 years ago in Australia completely by accident and so is passionate about encouraging more people onto the ocean to be happy and safe.

Seriously though...as the Principal of the GFS RYA school, and as a Yachtmaster Instructor having sailed over 50000 (stopped counting many moons ago) she is fastidious about safety and looks forward to sailing with you sometime soon.

Here's skipper Jonnie looking very please with all his trohpies! John is a keen and very experienced sailor having started sailing dingys aged 5! He regularly competed with the likes of Ben Ainslie until he grew up and won his 1st Cowes week - aged 9! John is continuing his successful run - he cleared up at Grenada 2010 winning all prizes including joint 1st in the whole fleet (well done!) and that was after a sterling 3rd prize in the ARC race (Atlantic crossing).  John has been an active member of the army as well as spending a good amount of time working in the city (improving those communication skills!). He can't run away from his love of the sea though - we are very proud to have him on our team. See Grenada for more pictures.

Supa skipper Penny just loves sailing!  And I love racing. I have been fortunate in my career, having met fantastic people and gained many experiences.  I have competed in amazing offshore races: three Fastnets, two Middle Sea Races, one Round Britain and Ireland, and one Trans-Atlantic!!

I particulary enjoy inshore regatta's building teams and friendships (and of course the shore side parties) all while doing something I love.  Life doesn't get much better than a day spent on the water.

  Matthew Mitchell (picture coming!)

A professional yachtsman with 2 transatlantic trips who has honed an intuitive grasp of the detailed workings of a sailing yacht. Well used to inclement weather conditions. Has developed a keen sense of how to operate in a team within a confined space. 30000 sea miles in UK, Europe, transatlantic and the Caribbean.

Pip, our office manager, has worked tirelessly for nearly 2 years to bring to the calendar an array of exciting events. She is in charge because she is great with people - patient and kind and caring - she really wants to make sure you are looked after ashore! The skippers take care of you after this!!

She has also fallen in love with sailing and, when we let her away from the PC, enjoys nothing more than a few peaceful days offshore and is now completely hooked on racing after competing in the Heineken Regatta!
