Racing Caribbean
Sun, sea, beautiful beaches, constant warmth, constant winds, beach parties, steel bands, pina coladas...
The Caribbean race season commences in December and lasts until May. It starts in style with the life changing ARC which is the race across the Atlantic Ocean arriving in St Lucia and moves onto the cool vibe in Tobago where life is so slow, it's amazing that anything is organised at all (yeah mon!...) the season crescendos with the one and only Antigua Race week where you party and race hard in the warm and constant winds of the stunning Caribbean. The organiser's ensure there are a multitude of social events which you just have to attend because they are SO much fun! Steel bands, sand under you feet, live music, rum punch and pina colados. Throw in hundreds of boats full of people on holiday and all wanting to win a yacht race and the carnival feeling just happens day and night.
The beauty of the islands is so apparent from the sea. All of them are stunning in their own unique way - constant sunshine, beaches, watersports, live entertainment, Al fresco dining in most restaurants and you really have got a most fabulous couple of days/weeks to look forward to. The only problem will be how you cope when you get back to the UK!
